Thank you for the report. This sounds not like a problem with the ebuild in gentoo, but with the upstream source. The best will be to report it to the developers of the program. You can put a link to the bug report here, if you like. I will close the bug here, because I can not see how the gentoo ebuild can fix that. Please give further information if I am wrong.
