I have found more than 40 bugs assigned wrongly to qmail-bugs@gentoo.org. It seems that this address was removed some time ago, metadatas were updated but the bugs were left wrongly assigned to the old maintainer. It would be nice to disable this account to prevent anyone from wrongly assigning bugs to them For now, I am manually triaging some of that bugs to reassign to current maintainers :( Thanks
Disabling the account won't do what you expect it to do -- people will still be able to assign bugs to it. I see two options here: 1. Remove the account entirely -- I don't know if Infra would like it, and it will mean reassigning all the bugs probably, 2. Add some descriptive text to the account name like 'Qmail Team (OBSOLETE)' and trust developers reading it.
overall process is covered in bug 585990. this bug tracks only the execution of the one account in question now.
Disabled and email changed to qmail-bugs+ disabled@g.o.
Please ensure to reassign/re-CC all open or likely-to-be-reopened bugs.
(In reply to Michał Górny from comment #4) > Please ensure to reassign/re-CC all open or likely-to-be-reopened bugs. Thanks Well, for opened bugs ok, the "likely-to-be-reopened" thing will be nearly impossible as I cannot predict that :( I am not sure if it would be any "automatic" way of searching by bugs assigned to *OBSOLETE* maintainers and warn us for manually taking care of any bug that could enter that "OBSOLETE" assignment :/ See you! :)

Ah, that would be nice as would allow us to have another link at: https://qa-reports.gentoo.org/ And allow us to to ahead and fix them from time to time easily ;)
