Latest version is not in portage, yet. Reproducible: Always
Created attachment 432616 [details, diff] Patch to make the ebuild work with the latest version
/usr/bin/spotify-dbus.py which is used by /usr/share/applications/spotify.desktop to start spotify requires the default python version from eselect to be enabled in PYTHON_TARGETS for dev-python/pygobject:3 dev-python/dbus-python Otherwise it fails to start with errors like /usr/bin/spotify-dbus.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/spotify-dbus.py", line 42, in <module> from gi.repository import GObject ImportError: No module named 'gi'
fixed, added the python deps as well
I've tried to upgrade to the latest spotify-1.0.28 on an x86 arch, but it seems that the "Manifest" file lists a wrong file size for "spotify-client_1.0.28.89.gf959d4ce-4_i386.deb" (only ~4MB instead ~70MB like amd64), so the installation aborts. After recreating the "Manifest" file and refetching everything's working now.
just updated it to 1.0.29
