As x11-drivers/nvidia-drivers-358.16 is stable please stabilize nvidia-settings as well.

Yours is not a compile problem, you just need to add a package.keywords entry.

There is no problem with compiling nvidia-settings - this is just a stabilization request for version 358.16.

Personally, I don't see the point in the stabilization request.  We are already moving in the direction of dropping nvidia-settings as a standalone package #562910, so stabilizing a package that is effectively on its way out seems like a waste of effort.  Just my 2 cents.

That sounds good - just do it :-)
Currently nvidia-settings are blocking the update of nvidia-drivers.
