I reanimated lightdm-1.16.5.ebuild and it shows the same errors.

lightdm-1.15.3 has the same configure warnings but compiles.
Comment 5 jospezial 2015-11-27 17:56:51 UTC
Without qt USE it compiles.
Next big warning:

You have listed about 3 different problems in this bug. So I am not sure what your actual complain is.
Comment 9 jospezial 2016-01-14 08:08:11 UTC
x11-misc/lightdm-1.17.3 still has the same errors.

Would be nice if we could fix this first.
I don't know if this is related to the other messages.

lightdm-qtbindir.patch

This looks like it's caused by /usr/bin/moc pointing to qtchooser these days.

Attached is a patch to ensure the correct the correct binary is always called.

lightdm-1.17.3 merges with this patch.
Solves the error in #c9 and the readlink options messages in #c2. Lines of #c3 are gone too.

I wanted to use the changes from attached lightdm-qtbindir.patch for lightdm-1.18.1 but I now get this:

libtool: compile:  x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I.. -fPIC "-DQT_DISABLE_DEPRECATED_BEFORE=QT_VERSION_CHECK(4, 0, 0)" -I/

and that reminds me to
https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=579038

qt is 5.7.9999 and gcc is 5.3.0
