in my quick fixes one of checks for old kernel was removed. readd it if you want. in any case it works for me.
Added to bleeding-edge overlay: x11-drivers/ati-drivers-15.11 from bug 566846 - thanks to Rion! Compiles for me (I have no hardware for a moment to test how it works).
Can anyone confirm this is working with older (pre-GCN) Radeon HD5000/6000 cards? Otherwise we might need to add a ewarn.
On the AMD supported products page these cards are still listed, and I'm already running this version on a Radeon HD 6870 :)
HD6770M, works fine for me too.
(In reply to Alexei Kharitonov from comment #7) > HD6770M, works fine for me too. But I can't switch between discrete and internal gpu # aticonfig --px-igpu aticonfig: No supported adapters detected

After installing Catalyst 15.12 (I created a bump request: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=568836) the command "aticonfig" works again in my Linux Mint system. So I hope it will be work in Gentoo too.
Created attachment 419884 [details] ati-drivers-15.12.ebuild was tested from bleeding-edge overlay
(In reply to Rion from comment #10) > Created attachment 419884 [details] > ati-drivers-15.12.ebuild > > was tested from bleeding-edge overlay Thanks for your 15.12 ebuild. I've installed it and tested. aticonfig switches work fine.
mrueg is this enough for one of us to commit the ati-drivers-15.12.ebuild in Comment 10?
(In reply to Ian Delaney from comment #12) > mrueg is this enough for one of us to commit the ati-drivers-15.12.ebuild in > Comment 10? There is an updated ebuild from the original maintainer in x11 overlay, that differs from 15.9-r1 (seems like it was based on 15.9).
