Hi all, well, in this java version personally a problem is we most download it manually, well searching i found a way to download with wget (obvs accepting license), if its posible implemente on the packages. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10268583/downloading-java-jdk-on-linux-via-wget-is-shown-license-page-instead There are even a gentoo user with a package to download it :D Cya.
Sorry, this has been discussed before and the restriction is a legal one, not a technical one.
D: So can't you ask download it if we accept the license?
I'm not sure what you mean but Portage's ACCEPT_LICENSE feature was not deemed sufficient. Note that other distributions (except Funtoo, they disagree with us) do not include Oracle packages at all because of this restriction. If it helps, we are trying to get icedtea-3 (Java 8) into the tree ASAP, which will have no restrictions.
Thx. :D
