cinnamon-screensaver-2.8.0 complies fine with net-libs/webkit-gtk:4. So why not update dependency from  net-libs/webkit-gtk:3 to  net-libs/webkit-gtk:4?

Looking to configure.ac I am unsure if it's really an automagical dependency that will lead to it be still compiled against webkit-gtk3 is both slots are installed

Do you mean "if both slots are installed" ?
it checks for both slots of webkit-gtk.

I have slot_4 installed.

I mean it's better to use the latest version of webkit-gtk with the latest verion of Cinnamon.
