Here's a quick entry for FlightGear's Release Candidate 3.6.0 So far, the flightgear ebuild and it's associated parent dependencies are modified to download their source package. Next is making sure everything configures and builds properly. Reproducible: Always

FYI: Apparently FlightGear 3.6.0 was suppose to be officially released sometime during August 2015, just after FlightGear 3.6.0 Release Candidate was released by looking at the SourceForge File's folder with file publication dates. However, looks as if a later 3.6.0 Release Candidate was instead published during September 2015. Anyways for the time being, I'll try debugging some FlightGear 3.6.0 (and it's dependencies) here in preparation for FlightGear 3.6.0 release. Also looks as if there are no 3.6.0 versions published to overlay as well.

I have read the "0001-flightgear-3.4.0-cmake.patch" and "0002-flightgear-3.4.0-cmake.patch" patches and have verified those changes within those named patch files are now integrated within flightgear-3.6.0_rc sources.
Compiles and executes here on Intel X86 64 bit platform. (Apparently the joystick isn't working, but likely because I've compiled simgear with too much optimization instead of generic or debug options.)
I'm closing this is since: 1. 3.6.0 is released (a'ka 2016.1.1) 2. we now have live ebuilds of flightgear in tree
