If you install marble in a normal way, you have 4 different application launcher: marble marble-qt marble-touch marble-mobile As I'm on a desktop I always want to use the "normal" marble. The problem is, that the desktop files in krunner and k-menu are all named "Marble" with the same icon and the same description independently of the real application. As a consequence atm I always start marble from the commandline, because with the graphical launcher I have a change of 75% to start the wrong program. Could you change the desktop files to provide a more meaningful name (or description) or could you provide useflags to deactivate 3 of the 4 parts (I don't need marble touch at all on the desktop)? I'm not sure if this is an upstream issue, but the deactivation part in my question needs some useflags so I asked here.
Ideally upstream would provide options to control what's built. It shouldn't be too hard to handle downstream though.
This seems to be fixed partially: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351972 For the app selection I opened another bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354326
According to upstream comments this should be fixed in 16.04. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351972#c4 https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354326#c2
