Description Heiko Schäfer 2015-09-20 12:29:14 UTC
x11-libs/vte-0.28.2 should offer a gtk3 USE flag.
For example dev-util/geany compiled with USE=gtk and USE=vte needs it.

Reproducible: Always

Nonsense.

This was based on *my* observations. Just writing "Nonsense" is very discouraging for people to get writing Bug reports and so may *not* increasing quality of Gentoo.

If you think it works by just rebuilding vte, which seemed to change it's ebuild without a revbump, so it would be more nice to write EXACTLY this.

If the only reaction is "Nonsense", I have no problem *NOT* to share my fixes. Right or not, but discussions in bugreports have been always a good source for me and I guess for others, too.

You were trying to "fix" a problem that did never exist.

The dep in the geany ebuild *is* wrong, but you're just about clueless about both the basic history of x11-libs/vte gtk2 -> gtk3 transition and the way it's slotted in Gentoo.
