This request is for arm  to stabilize =kde-base/kdelibs-4.14.3-r1.  This is a dependency for VLC 2.2.x stabilization.

I think it would be better to stable use mask the kde USE flag for vlc instead. I guess KDE integration is not useful without stabilisation of many other KDE 4 packages too - a lot of arch team effort for a platform approaching end of life.

Michael, I understand your logic and am good with that approach (USE mask).
