This issue is mentioned here
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-1015434.html?sid=28b28a150ede47f11acf44abef66be83

The recommended downgrade to 0.9.10.0 works.

Same behaviour in my case
Comment 2 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2015-05-17 07:45:30 UTC
Please try with 1.0.2... if still failing test with net-misc/vpnc-0.5.3_p527-r1 or 0.5.3_p550

If still failing please report this to upstream -> bugzilla.gnome.org
Comment 3 Roland Ramthun 2015-05-19 19:13:20 UTC
This bug is due to net-misc/networkmanager-vpnc-1.0.0 being incompatible with net-misc/vpnc-0.5.3_p527-r1

net-misc/vpnc-0.5.3_p550 for which we have a stable request in #549652 will fix the issue.
Comment 4 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2015-05-19 19:23:53 UTC
Thanks
Comment 5 Johannes Buchner 2015-05-19 19:25:31 UTC
Then net-misc/networkmanager-vpnc-1.0.0 should require a higher version of vpnc than it does at the moment.
Comment 6 Jason McGuiness 2015-05-21 09:49:02 UTC
This version incompatibility is biting me too. Shouldn't the ebuild be fixed to require the correct version vpnc?
Comment 7 cono 2015-05-24 19:43:34 UTC
Same issue here, is there any chance that we get new-compatible vpnc unmasked soon?
Comment 8 Johannes Buchner 2015-05-25 01:46:37 UTC
