Description Jason A. Donenfeld gentoo-dev 2015-05-06 09:45:43 UTC
Previously fontconfig did the right thing with regards to the monospace font. With the addition of "fontconfig-2.11.93-latin-update.patch", things are reordered in a completely unacceptable way, that should have received community review and feedback before such an invasive change. This change destroys several qualities of KDE's Konsole and should be reverted immediately.

Reproducible: Always

We have patched 60-latin.conf for a long time, tho with the recent version bump a new patched needed to be rolled. So I took the opportunity to promote liberation-fonts to default over dejavu, as that is now our recommendation.

** But this is just a default. **

If you don't like it, then override it with your own preferences. This can easily be done in KDE's settings, or by adding your own local.conf and disabling 60-latin.conf.
