ZNC 1.6.0 is the latest stable version of ZNC and includes important security updates including TLS and updated Cipher strings.

znc-1.6.1 was released today. znc in tree is still v1.4 from May 2014...

znc-1.6.1.ebuild

Hi,

I updated znc-1.4-r1.ebuild for 1.6.1:

1) I updated the systemwideconfig patch to work with v1.6.1

1.1) I added our "system-wide-config-as" parameter to znc's help (`znc -h`)


2) I added support for znc's test suite instead of removing it.


3) I renamed "CONFDIR" to "ZNC_DATADIR" and made sure that we always use the variable instead of showing the hard coded "/var/lib/znc" value.


4) I have updated the runscript

4.1) The runscript now supports OpenRC's built-in status function. Therefore we had to make sure that ZNC will always create a pidfile. To solve this I added a patch which adds the PidFile directive to ZNC's default configuration when running `emerge --config znc`.

For existing configurations we will show an elog.

4.2) I added the "retry" option to the runscript which ensures that ZNC will be reliable stopped.



I created the diff against znc-1.4-r1.ebuild for easier reviewing. But I recommend to pull from my GitHub repository if interested (http://git.io/vOwsK).
