logrotate config needs to add 'missingok' option. Now if I haven't file /var/lib/bitcoin/.bitcoin/debug.log logrotate sends messages about it to dead.letter file.

Any opinion on a pkg_postinst that just creates the file initially (touch)? Any reason it would be missing outside of that one circumstance?

Seems most packages are using missingok, so that has been added to -r1 in the overlay.

this is now fixed in the tree.  please reopen if more needs to be done.
