tk should be installed as a dependency for rp-pppoe when emerging it with USE="X", shouldn't it?
Comment 2 Doug Goldstein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-06 19:34:54 UTC
Not exactly. It should be on the depend of tcltk & X if it's a TK app. Adding this to the tcltk USE flag metabug.

Corrects the tcltk USE flag issue, which also fixes this bug.

Please apply this patch against rp-pppoe-3.5-r1 and test. (I don't have PPP or
anything like that so I can't). But this should clean up the tcltk USE flag
problem which is the fix for this bug.

Comment 4 Toralf Förster gentoo-dev 2004-09-25 02:02:17 UTC
yep, this bug seems to be fixed (fresh install of gentoo systems on a notebook)
Comment 5 Doug Goldstein (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-25 08:40:04 UTC
Yep... My patch still needs to be merged in by the net-dialup peoples.

Bad patch, after rsync:

emerge -pv =net-dialup/rp-pppoe-3.5-r1

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
