This would allow us to drop x11-libs/libsvg-cairo and media-libs/libsvg that, as explained at http://pkgs.fedoraproject.org/cgit/libsvg.git/plain/dead.package libsvg was a split from librsvg, working to add a cairo backend for rendering SVG. libsvg is no longer maintained and the author encourages librsvg to be used instead, which is now in core. The API is not compatible but they have similar capabilities. This package was originally added to help developers working with compiz. Since then compiz has been patched to use librsvg instead making this package no longer necessary. Yes, please remove or mask xsvg. I spent a lot of time trying to get it to install (after using it for years), which led to this bug report, which led to finding wxsvg, which is a better program anyway.
