imcom's license as stated by LICENSE and the program itself isn't as-is, but BSD:
IMCom version 1.33 final (less bugfixes) is released under the BSD license.

where does it say that? (see /usr/doc/imcom-1.33/CHANGELOG.gz)

I just saw LICENSE which is... as far as I could tell, as-is.
It says this on startup of imcom. That's a discrepancy then |:

thanks for pointing that out .. i overlooked it .. just had a look at the LICENSE file where it says "as-is" which is BSD in this case  ;)

it's in portage
