Thanks for the report, it looks like the font eclass only pulls mkfontdir in with USE=X :(

I don't think it's worth requiring this flag, I'll update the ebuild to depend unconditionally on mkfontdir

In fact I ended defaulting to +X and setting it in REQUIRED_USE, as some parts of the font eclass need the flag set to generate fonts parts

Anyway, it should be fine on your next sync!
