AFAIK libcap doesn't work on OSX. mtr-0.86 introduced fcaps.eclass to SETUID the binary.

This has nothing to do with net-analyzer/mtr. If USE=filecaps doesn't work on some prefix supported platforms, then it should be masked in the profiles for those platforms.

Hi Jeroen,

While I agree this should probably be masked, but this file actually works fine if a prefix user install it then chown $EPREFIX/usr/sbin/mtr to root:root, then SUID it.

It would be nice to have for OS X prefix users.
