It seems to be working despite a few error messages from cpio that I don't know
how to get rid of:

cpio: usr/lib/ICAClient/Npica: No such file or directory
cpio: usr/lib/ICAClient/Wfcmgr: No such file or directory
cpio: usr/lib/ICAClient/Wfica: No such file or directory
cpio: usr/lib/ICAClient/nls/C: No such file or directory
cpio: usr/lib/ICAClient/util/XCapture: No such file or directory

Comment 5 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-17 04:37:17 UTC
I'm just curious, but why are both of you still using the RPM? Does that not also add additional dependencies that are no longer needed since there is a tarball available?
Comment 6 Martin Holzer (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-17 05:54:29 UTC
here's the url

Comment 7 Tobias Sager 2004-06-18 14:19:42 UTC
The installer in the tar is not working for me.
But it anyway uses cpio to extract the files, so it not really makes a difference.
(And it's not fixing the error from comment 4 too)
Comment 8 Jason Wever (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-09-18 12:36:40 UTC
Resolving as fixed as I added 8.0 into the tree before I saw this.

Chris, if you are still interested in having the tar version used over the RPM, open another bug and assign it to me.
