Hi Paulo. I am unable to reproduce this problem on two other machines in addition to my developement box. Some things which might help me track the problem down: Try 1. emerge cmucl 2. emerge slime 3. emacs -q 4. M-x load-file RET /usr/share/emacs/site-lisp/70slime.el RET 5. M-x slime RET If this also causes a problem, try moving your ~/.cmucl-init out of the way before repeating the above steps (this will rule out the contentsof your .cmucl-init being a problem). Also provide the output of find /usr/share/common-lisp/
