Emerging foobillard-3.0a fails: ball.o(.text+0x3469): In function `draw_balls': : undefined reference to `glProgramParameter4fNV' collect2: ld returned 1 exit status I'm using ATI's binary drivers, and of course I don't have these weird NV GL extensions. Is there a way to get it to attempt a video-card independant compile?
Oh yeah, and here's this: wcw root # emerge info Portage 2.0.50-r7 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.3.2, glibc-2.3.2-r9, 2.6.5-gentoo-r1) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.5-gentoo-r1 i686 AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2500+ Gentoo Base System version 1.4.10 distcc 2.13 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [enabled] ccache version 2.3 [enabled] Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.59-r3 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.8.3 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -Os -mfpmath=sse -pipe" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.1/share/config /usr/kde/3.2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -Os -mfpmath=sse -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs ccache distcc fixpackages sandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://mirror.datapipe.net/gentoo http://mirror.gentoo.gr.jp http://adelie.polymtl.ca/ http://mirror.tucdemonic.org/gentoo/" MAKEOPTS="-j5" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="3dnow S3TC X aalib acpi acpi4linux alsa apache2 apm autofs avi berkdb bonobo cdr cjk clamav composite crypt cups curl dga dnd doc dv dvb dvd dvdr editor encode esd evo faad fam ffmpeg fftw flac flash foomaticdb freetype gb gd gdbm geoip ggi gif gimpprint glut gnome gnomedb gphoto2 gps gstreamer gtk gtk2 gtkhtml guile imagemagick imap imlib imlib2 innodb java jdepend joystick jpeg kde ladcca ldap libg++ libgda libwww lirc lufsusermount mad md5sum memlimit mikmod mldonkeypango mmx mng motif mozcalendar mozilla mozsvg mpeg mpeg4 mysql nas ncurses nls nocd oav odbc offensive oggvorbis openal opengl oss pam pda pdflib pear-db perl png pnp postgres ppds psyco pthreads python qt quicktime radeon readline samba scanner sdl server slang slp snmp spell sqlite sse ssl stencil-buffer svg svga t1lib tcltk tcpd tetex theora tiff transcode truetype type1 usb v4l video_cards_radeon videos wmf wxwin wxwindows x86 xinerama xml2 xmms xosd xv xvid yahoo zlib"
I'm finding the same problem... 2.9 didn't have it so maybe 3.0a should at least be masked until this is sorted out.
Resync and try it again with version 1.2 of the ebuild please.
Still broken for me. The odd thing is, this is the configure string: $ ./configure --prefix=/usr/games --host=i686-pc-linux-gnu --mandir=/usr/share/man --infodir=/usr/share/info --datadir=/usr/share/games --sysconfdir=/etc/games --localstatedir=/var/games --enable-sound --enable-nvidia=no --enable-SDL --disable-glut The configure string looks right, so I guess Foobillard itself has a build bug.
Created attachment 32520 [details, diff] Patch to fix source... I attached a patch to get foobillard to compile.. I found it over in the Debian world. I had to modify the ebuild... epatch ${FILESDIR}/foobillard-3.0a-r1.patch Maybe someone can commit it for me? See : http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=179765&highlight=foobillard
Patch worked for me, thanks David A Bestor !
I'll fix this one today
This is fixed now in CVS... thanks for the bug report and also for the patch guys...
