Description Flavio 2004-05-30 06:28:17 UTC
After detecting the HDE there is a " HDE : LOST INTERRUPT" that i assign to ACPI support that is bugged ,i think, in 2.6.x kernel

Using SMP kernel resolves the problem .
in 2.6.6 kernel will be resolved this bug ?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Run the default gentoo kernel
2.
3.

Actual Results:
boot fails losting interrupts

I post my hardware :

MB : Abit KV8 - max3 supporting ACPI as advanced power management
HD : MAxtor Serial Ata
CPU :athlon64 3200+

I found the ACPI problem during a recompilation of kernel 2.6.5 , when i added
the ACPI support and i noticed the LOST INTERRUPT problem in the following reboot.

What kind of SATA controller is on that board?

All SATA stuff is being worked on for the next release. Thanks for the bug report. We are aware that SATA is a major issue with the LiveCD's and are taking appropriate actions.
