digiKam 4.3.0 has just been released, and it includes many important bug fixes.

It would be good if someone who pays attention to digiKam source commits could go through the ebuild to make sure things are still well coded for contemporary digikam tarballs.

The following are included in the digikam tarball:
libkipi, libkexiv2, libkface, libkdcraw, libkgeomap

4.3.0 has a serious stability issue already fixed upstream, waiting for 4.4.0 with libkexiv2-4.14.2

4.3.0 works for me on amd64 - ebuild attached.
I think for 4.4.0 the only changes will be in the ebuild name and the download link. I could not find a working download link for version 4.4.0 on the digikam website though.
