patch from upstream tweaked for 4.2.6.3

4.2.6.3 fails the same way as 4.2.6.2 did. The patch from upstream only required a trivial change to apply to 4.2.6.3. To apply to the ebuild:

4.2.6.3 goes stable at the moment and I dont really want to modify it too much.

I'll add 4.3 in the next days. There we can add the patch then. It's not in 4.3 branch yet, but I guess it won't need much modification there either.

patch to libreoffice-4.3.1.2.ebuild to apply the boost-1.56.0 patch
Comment 9 Andrew Waters 2014-09-24 07:34:35 UTC
Applying the patch allows the build to complete successfully.
Comment 10 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2014-09-27 12:12:57 UTC
There's going to be one more libreoffice-4.2 point release, maybe it is possible to include it there.
Comment 11 Andrew Waters 2014-11-05 09:48:41 UTC
Is there a reason we cannot at least put this in 4.3.1.2?
Comment 12 Andrew Waters 2014-11-18 08:34:46 UTC

The good news is that both patches still apply cleanly against 4.3.4.1.
I'm building against boost-1.56 as we speak, but expect this to work just as it did before.

The patch as written does not apply here to 4.3.4.1 and even after recreating the identical edits I get the exact same error against boost-1.56.0-r1.

Just to clarify - the exact same error I noted in https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=533524 which was marked as a dup of this bug. Maybe it really is a separate bug and should not have been marked as a dup.

Not sure what to say:

holger>epm -q boost libreoffice
boost-1.56.0-r1
libreoffice-4.3.4.1

Worked for me on two different machines. I do build LO with clang so maybe that fixed it, but it should at least apply cleanly.

Same bug. And the patch still works with 4.3.5.2 I might add

OK, reapplied the patch noted in comment 3 and all is well. Maybe this get into the tree.
