Description shinydoofy 2014-08-25 06:05:27 UTC
Much like bug 317607, ogmrip fails to install in parallel for me. From diffing the ebuilds, I can see that MAKEOPTS was reset for src_install in 0.13.8, but isn't anymore in 1.0.1.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have MAKEOPTS with -j > 1
2. emerge -1v ogmrip
Actual Results:
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
libtool: install: error: relink `libogmrip-acopy.la' with the above command before installing it
Makefile:976: recipe for target 'install-audio_codecsLTLIBRARIES' failed
make[2]: *** [install-audio_codecsLTLIBRARIES] Error 1
make[2]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

Expected Results:
ogmrip installs successfully

I am having the same bug in my ~amd64 box and setting MAKEOPTS="-j1" allows to merge correctly

Confirmed.

Same here.
MAKEOPTS="-j1" works.
Comment 5 James L. Hammons 2014-09-03 23:40:53 UTC
Had the same problem as in post #1; can confirm that setting MAKEOPTS="-j1" allows it to compile and merge correctly.

This is on ~amd64.
