Description Marek 2014-08-04 01:44:19 UTC
No workbench is built? (that is FreeCad is no longer usable)

by the way I needed to emerge pyside pyside-tools to make freecad-0.14 compile at all... I guess these should be added to DEPEND?

I managed to compile everything (working) from local git. What cmake options are we missing in the ebuild?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge =freecad-0.14.3702
2. start FreeCad
3. no workbench works...
Actual Results:
FreeCad is useless

Expected Results:
Working FreeCad with all Workbenches

Identical to bugs reported on the live build.

Comment 5 Casey Bralla 2014-08-14 03:02:43 UTC
I discovered a work around. If you start the FreeCAD program from a text window in the directory where the *.so modules are located, it finds the missing modules!

So, if you are using the "live" version, the modules are in the directory "/usr/lib64/freecad-9999/lib64/". cd / to this directory and type "FreeCAD" at the command prompt, and all the workbenches load as expected!

BTW, thanks to wmayer of the FreeCAD forums for helping me find this out.
Comment 6 Marek 2014-08-14 09:47:05 UTC
WMayer also indicated the proper fix:

Thanks for the report, and the suggested solution, it will be up asap.
