Comment 1 SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-05-23 15:08:47 UTC
seems gimli was already registered on freenode so 'gimli_xbox' is the new one
Comment 2 Jason Huebel (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-24 07:50:59 UTC
Probationary period ends June 7th...
Comment 3 Jon Portnoy (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-05-24 12:06:39 UTC
As far as I can tell, this requested new dev has no prior history of contributions. If we do go ahead with recruiting new devs for xbox work, I'd like to see more submitted work prior to adding accounts.
Comment 4 Deedra Waters (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-23 17:14:38 UTC
What's going on with this one?
Comment 5 Deedra Waters (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-06-30 13:35:17 UTC
I'm assuming nothing is going on here since I haven't heard back on this one, and going to close it. If he decides to become a dev at a later date, we can reopen this bug, but let's leave it closed till he's ready.
Comment 6 Chris Bainbridge (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-06 11:09:13 UTC
It's time to reopen this bug.

Since Gentoo first supported the xbox every livecd, 2.4 kernel ebuild, and now xorg patch has been done by Ed and forwarded to me, where I've reviewed it and then commited into the tree. His work is competent and he will make a good gentoo developer. He is one of the upstream developers, having commit access to xbox-linux.org CVS, and is clearly well suited to handling Gentoo xbox related activities.

Originally this bug was closed because Ed had no contributions to show. Times have changed, and 7 months on it makes no sense for me to be acting as a proxy for someone who is entirely capable of contributing to the Gentoo project on their own merit.
Comment 7 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-11 11:26:59 UTC
Alright Chris, I take that to mean you want to be his mentor, correct?

Ed, please take the ebuild quiz as soon as possible and go over it with Chris. After he's satisfied with it, send it to me for a final review.

Thanks.
Comment 8 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-21 12:50:07 UTC
closing as I've heard nothing here.
Comment 9 Chris Bainbridge (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-21 15:36:20 UTC
Ed sent the quiz to recruiters@g.o a while back.. was assuming it was backlogged waiting to be marked?
Comment 10 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-03-22 02:46:45 UTC
Ok, I missed it when it was sent to rec@. I've responded to the quiz. Sorry for the delay =(
Comment 11 Edgar Hucek 2005-03-22 13:18:10 UTC
Sended you the quiz.
Comment 12 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-17 13:50:58 UTC
Have I missed the end quiz? There's been alot of spam to recruiters@, so if I did, please send it directly to me.
Comment 13 Edgar Hucek 2005-04-27 14:44:04 UTC
Did you get my mail ?
Comment 14 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-27 20:33:20 UTC
When was it sent?
Comment 15 Edgar Hucek 2005-04-28 07:19:46 UTC
Sended it again today.
Comment 16 Deedra Waters (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-14 23:03:23 UTC
Jeremy, what's going on with this? Let's wrap him up.
Comment 17 Jeremy Huddleston (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-05-15 00:33:08 UTC
The quiz I got was incomplete and incorrect where completed. I sent back feedback, but have yet to hear a response. Marking LATER...
Comment 18 Edgar Hucek 2005-05-16 06:19:08 UTC
Sended the reworked "End Quiz".
Comment 19 Chris Bainbridge (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-06-03 09:43:01 UTC
As Ed said, he has redone the quiz, so re-opening.
Comment 20 Chris Bainbridge (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-07-26 04:12:48 UTC
As noted in the bug this blocks, Ed has put together a new live CD and
xbox-sources kernel ebuilds... I haven't commited them because I have no time to
test xbox stuff anymore (in fact, haven't booted my xbox in over 6 months). I
would dearly love Ed to take over maintainership of these ebuilds and
responsibility for the livecds.

What is holding up his recruitment?
Comment 21 Tom Martin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-08-22 14:51:22 UTC
Okay, I'm going to take this bug.

Ed, can you resend your quizzes to recruiters@? I don't have them archived. When
that's done I'll get round to setting you up as soon as possible.

Thanks for being (extremely) patient :)

Tom
Comment 22 Edgar Hucek 2005-08-22 15:57:54 UTC
