you didn't show your cflags but they're probably too aggressive.
Oppss, sorry about that. Anyway i'm using the default CCFLAGS, as you can see. USE ="X alsa gnome" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=i686 -O3 -pipe" ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PORTAGE_NICENESS=3 AUTOCLEAN="yes"
have a similar problem here, kdelibs-3.2.2-r1 dies running emake (on a XP1800+), no change when switching distcc on/off. it DID, however, emereg without problems on a 2GHz Celery AMD: CFLAGS="-march=athlon-xp -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -ffast-math" Intel: CFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -fprefetch-loop-arrays -ffast-math" render_style.cpp:166: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault Please submit a full bug report, with preprocessed source if appropriate. try running ldconfig, did solve it for me
I can't do anything about local compilation issues.
