I would like to lastrite libadns. Would you mind if I masked USE=adns that requires this library?

Usually packages go for net-dns/c-ares. Not that it's much better but it at least tries to copy some of system resolver behavior.

Of course, another option is dumb-threading with libc resolver being used in separate thread.

just make sure to force it off in src_configure so it doesn't automagically link.

Done: gnupg-2.0.26-r1, once stabilized no adns in gnupg.
