latest gentoo-sources ebuild is the 2.4.26_pre6 , dated 26 Mar 2004. why there's no a stable 2.4.26 release? Please, please update to 2.4.26. After 2.4.25_pre6 there were several updates to 2.4.26. Infact there is already 2.4.27_pre2.
Seems like gentoo-sources isnt being as actively maintained as before, one wonders if the devs are all on 2.6 by now :-y My advice would be to figure out what patches you need and then switch to using vanilla-sources until the situation changes or you move to 2.6.
