Description Alexander Berntsen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-05-24 10:43:27 UTC
7.3 is getting mighty outdated now. To the point of me coming across "7.4 or newer" plugins. Someone who's been running 7.4.x -- feel free to chime in on a version that works well presently.
Comment 1 Jan Pobrislo 2014-05-24 11:02:16 UTC
using it on most of my machines (x86, amd64), works fine, including the latest 7.4.273
Comment 2 Tim Harder gentoo-dev 2014-06-16 05:49:46 UTC

The same shit for x86 we should mark dev-scheme/racket stable too
Comment 7 Till Schäfer 2014-06-23 13:42:38 UTC
why is vim-core already stable for amd64? this lead to the following conflict:

app-editors/vim-core:0

  (app-editors/vim-core-7.4.273::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge) conflicts with
    ~app-editors/vim-core-7.3.762 required by (app-editors/vim-7.3.762::gentoo, installed)

Comment 10 Sebastian Pucilowski 2014-06-30 15:00:04 UTC
The stable update to app-editors/vim from 7.3.762 to 7.4.273 has broken syntax highlighting for me. Base install, no modifications or custom configurations.

My use flags for vim are:

USE="nls python -X -acl -cscope -debug -gpm -lua -luajit -minimal -perl -racket -ruby (-selinux) -tcl -vim-pager" PYTHON_SINGLE_TARGET="python2_7 (-python2_6) -python3_2 -python3_3 (-python3_4)" PYTHON_TARGETS="python2_7 python3_3 (-python2_6) -python3_2 (-python3_4)"
