I've just installed the brand new XFCE4 4.0.5 on my box, and I tried to login to it via kdm. But there were no menu entry for XFCE(4). So I looked around a bit, and found this file: "/etc/X11/dm/Sessions/xfce.desktop". then I copied it to: "/usr/kde/3.2/share/config/kdm/sessions/" and on the next login it worked perfectly, there was the new XFCE4 entry. xfce as of at least 4.0.6 installs a .desktop file in /usr/share/xsessions. kdm should use session files from there. This is handled by #15315, redirecting there. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 15315 ***
