Description Ole Langbehn 2014-03-29 18:34:11 UTC
kuickshow has a compile error on my box, see the attached ebuild log.

It's probably due to a symbol rename in giflib 4.2, see referenced bug.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
emerge kuickshow

Sorry, I can't add the build log as an attachment, I'm getting errors in more than one browser when trying. Since this one is probably easily reproducable you probably won't need it anyways. Still, here's the last couple of lines:

Comment 2 Michael Palimaka (kensington) gentoo-dev 2014-03-31 17:02:09 UTC
Are you sure this is an issue with kuickshow? It doesn't directly use giflib at all.
Comment 3 Oleh 2014-04-01 03:28:20 UTC
definitely issue with kuickshow, as it failing :) not with giflib
Comment 4 Ole Langbehn 2014-04-01 07:01:35 UTC
(In reply to Michael Palimaka (kensington) from comment #2)

You're right, that was a shot in the dark due to the other bug I found (see also). So I removed the reference in the bug title.

Still, kuickshow is failing to emerge.
Comment 5 Michael Palimaka (kensington) gentoo-dev 2014-04-01 10:50:25 UTC
This is a problem with imlib, not consumers of it.
