I tried to use your repo, but I get a Block I can't solve:
Many apps need gnome-icon-theme-symbolic. The version from your Overlay blocks gnome-power-manager-3.1*, which is a dependency of gnome-extra-apps. Also gnome-power-manager depends on gnome-icon-theme-symbolic.

What's the reason for blocking gnome-power-manager-3.1* (besides 3.0*) in gnome-icon-theme-symbolic?

I bump gnome-extra-apps-3.12.0 in https://github.com/thankjura/gentoo-gnome,
but I advise you to remove the meta-package(gnome-extra-apps) and install only necessary packages.

1. you really don't want to be the reporter of a tracker bug like this, unless you want to received hundreds of emails for the next 6 months or so.
2. we are not working on github, this if you have problem with overlays on github, please file bug reports there.
