2014-02-11: SpamAssassin 3.4.0 has been released adding native support for IPv6, improved DNS Blocklist technology and support for massively-scalable Bayesian filtering using the Redis backend. 


Please add it to the tree.

Any news on that? Is there a problem with 3.4.0 that it doesn't make its way into portage? Some help needed?

I suppose perl team is severely understaffed. Dunno if they need more perl devs for this package or if submitting ebuild(s) and/or ebuild patches is sufficient...

We really busy with perl-5.18.2 right now (As for me, i'm busy with non-perl things too). mrueg said he wants take a look, so, feel free to do it if you want.

FWIW there's an ebuild at http://gentoo-overlays.zugaina.org/fidonet/mail-filter.html that seems to work fine.

I have one in my private overlay as well but it's not really polished and I cannot guarantee it works for everyone (although for my usecase it works).

I just have installed this build and it works for me. Only things I had to do are:

- Remove razor_timeout from local.cf
- Purge /var/lib/spamassassin/* and run sa-update/sa-compile

Test mails work so far...
