As tetromino raised some days ago, for some reason we stopped bumping the old 2 slot some time ago :( Will open this to remember to try to fix the issue and let others know it (if they have time to work on it)
What should this be bumped to? Is it just a matter of using 2.2.x with gtk2 on and gtk3 off?
In summary yes, in practice... we also will need to verify for updated dependencies and, the worst thing, leave it compiling for hours ;) (in my case it takes hours and lots of resources due debugging)
