It seems that when domains are placed in the allow list, it tries to resolve that domain. If it can, no problem. If it can't, it segfault. E.g.: you want to allow access from some client that has the following dnsname: client123.dial.provider.net. But the hostname might change from time to time because of a dynamic ip. So you would like to allow dial.provider.net, but dial.provider.net doesn't resolve. That causes nylon to segfault. Tried with version 1.1 and 1.2 (ebuild and tar version) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start nylon with: nylon -i eth0 -f -a "1.2.3.4 sub.otherdomain.com" -p 1150 & 2. 3. Actual Results: nylon: Listening on your.domain.com:1150 free(): invalid pointer 0x40182030! Segmentation fault Expected Results: nylon: Listening on your.domain.com:1150 emerge info: Portage 2.0.50-r6 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.3.2, glibc-2.3.2-r9, 2.4.25-gentoo) ================================================================= System uname: 2.4.25-gentoo i686 Pentium III (Katmai) Gentoo Base System version 1.4.9 distcc 2.13 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [enabled] Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.58-r1 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.8.3 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=pentium3 -O3 -pipe" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/s hare/config /usr/share/config /var/bind /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O2 -mcpu=i686 -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs ccache distcc sandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.snt.utwente.nl/pub/os/linux/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j4" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="apm arts avi berkdb crypt cups encode esd foomaticdb gdbm gif gpm gtk2 imlib jpeg kde ldap libg++ libwww mad mikmod motif mpeg mysql ncurses nls oggvorbis opengl oss pam pdflib perl png python qt quicktime readline sdl slang spell ssl svga tcltk tcpd truetype x86 xml2 xmms xv zlib"
