Description lumbrius 2013-11-06 16:59:23 UTC
Current stable version 2.27.57-r1 from portage tree is oudtated. Home page lists 2.40.65 as current stable version. Other machines with 2.40.65 refuse to work with 2.27.57-r1, so that is important issue.

Reproducible: Always

Maybe 2.40.102 would be better for that slot
Comment 2 Till Schäfer 2014-05-23 13:32:54 UTC
the current stable simply does not work anymore over ssh. (see Bug 347029).

That means the main feature is unusable since 3 years. Therefore i propose to stabilize 2.40.* soon.
Comment 3 Till Schäfer 2014-05-23 13:36:02 UTC
forgot to mention that 2.40.102 works flawless for me on 5 different computers.

It also fixed some performance problems that lead to connections loss for huge collections (> 400GiB) for me.

What's going on here? Last stable version (2.27.57-r1) was removed now before stabilising anything new? Btw, 2.27.57-r1 used to work fine over NFS.

Comment 6 Pacho Ramos gentoo-dev 2016-05-06 10:05:38 UTC
