Please test and mark stable this version of ffi. It has been in the tree for months and fixes bug 487668. =dev-ruby/ffi-1.4.0
amd64: pass NOTE: dev-ruby/ffi/ffi-1.4.0.ebuild: Deprecated ruby target: ruby_targets_ree18
I'm was suffering from bug #487668 too. I was able to use 1.4.0 ebuild, with RUBY_TARGETS="ruby19" Then my install for Redmine 2.3.2 from portage was able to complete with success. Would also like 1.4.0 stable.
+ 20 Oct 2013; Tony Vroon <chainsaw@gentoo.org> ffi-1.4.0.ebuild: + Marked stable on AMD64 based on arch testing by Elijah "Armageddon" El + Lazkani in bug #487750.
arm passes, no previous stable version yet. please re-add us if needed (would require to get quite some dependencies to go stable first).
With USE="doc" I get the following error on x86: linking shared-object ffi_c.so cd - install -c build/i686-linux/ffi_c/1.9.3/ffi_c.so lib/ffi_c.so * Running compile phase for all ... rake aborted! Am I missing something? If not, I'll post a bug report later.
(In reply to Myckel Habets from comment #5) Which rails version do you have eselected when testing this? It will fail with ruby20 because these packages do not yet have ruby20 support.

I meant to ask which version of *ruby* you have eselected. Seems like ruby20. eselect ruby list Available Ruby profiles: [1] ruby18 (with Rubygems) [2] ruby19 (with Rubygems) [3] ruby20 (with Rubygems) * I've changed it to ruby19 and try to arch test with that. Would a warning not be better?
Builds and runs tests fine on x86. Please mark stable for x86.
