Description cruzki 2013-08-26 10:38:18 UTC
kte-collaborative is a way of make team work with source code locally. It would be very interesting if this is in tree or kde-overlay (as probably it should be a live ebuild) in order to help with the test.

Thank you for the hard work.

Both live and release versions are now in the KDE overlay. It is currently masked due to one of the required dependencies being masked (I will speak to the maintainer and try to get the mask lifted).
Comment 2 cruzki 2013-08-26 21:11:34 UTC
Thanks a lot I have succesfully instaled both version. Tomorrow will starting the testing :)

But there is a little problem with the dependencies:

kte-collaborative-0.0.95 should hard dedepend on net-libs/libqinfinity-0.5.0
kte-collaborative-9999 should hard depend on net-libs/libqinfinity-9999

net-libs/libqinfinity-1.0_beta5 seems to be completely broken. Should I fill a new bug?
Comment 3 Michael Palimaka (kensington) gentoo-dev 2013-08-27 11:08:05 UTC
The maintainer of libinfinity has agreed to drop the mask, so this package can now be unmasked in the overlay.

That was added as a dependency for kobby, which kte-collaborative is sort-of forked from. Both are removed now.

Did you run into some issue? We don't usually restrict dependencies like that unless they are specifically needed.

After carefully testing seems that the main problem was libqinfinity-1.0_beta5.

On the other hand, it would be a goog idea to add a post install message in the sense of:

"In order to this program work you should restart mission-control-5, telepathy-gabble, dbus, and any KTextEditor you may have open" (taken from the web... after a while trying to figure why its not working)

Thanks for all you hard work!
