Output of emerge --info

After updating from kde-4.10.5-r1 to kde-4.11.0, upon starting KDE,
plasma-desktop immediately crashes leaving a black screen and an empty taskbar.

Fortunately krunner (ALT-F2) and yakuake (F12) still work so I can start
plasma-desktop manually whereby the desktop appears and it works normally.

This happens consistently every time.

The same happens if I start kde from a new user with a clean home directory.

I rebuild all $(qlist -IC dev-qt), kdelibs, libworkspace, plasma-workspace and
kdeplasma-addons to no avail.

Got the same problem.
After first load into kde 4.11 disspaered bottom panel. Trying default panel crash plasma desktop, with:
plasma-desktop(5671)/libplasma Plasma::isPluginVersionCompatible: unversioned plugin detected, may result in instability
file:///usr/lib/kde4/imports/org/kde/plasma/components/SectionScroller.qml:103: TypeError: Result of expression 'listView' [null] is not an object.
file:///usr/lib/kde4/imports/org/kde/plasma/components/SectionScroller.qml:175: ReferenceError: Can't find variable: sectionsRepeater
file:///usr/lib/kde4/imports/org/kde/plasma/components/SectionScroller.qml:103: Error: Cannot assign [undefined] to QString

If add empty panel, and then add to it widgets everything works fine.

Same problem here after upgrade to KDE 4.11- plasma-desktop crashes every time after startuo / kdm login.

A complete "emerge --emptytree world" did not help.

Temporary workaround according to http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-7374034.html helps for the moment.

Same thing happens on all my 32bit Gentoo kde-4.11.0 installs, but NOT on amd64 installs.

After much searching an trying other so-called fixes, I found this work-around under comment 34 on:
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=829298

"Just a comment:
This looks like a race condition on startup, or something like that.

- When you kill plasma-desktop (to prevent it from trying to restart and crash
again endlessly) and then start it manually, it runs fine. Even with those
launchers in place.

- I changed the Exec= line in /usr/share/autostart/plasma-desktop.desktop to
"Exec=sleep 30 && plasma-desktop". Now it doesn't crash anymore on login.

Will try to investigate more..."

When I looked at /usr/share/autostart/plasma-desktop.desktop, right under the top Exec line is:

X-DBUS-StartupType=unique
Name=Plasma Desktop Workspace

This would seem to indicate the problem is that plasma-desktop and/or plasma-workspace is for some reason now trying to start before Dbus, when it needs to wait until dbus is already running??? At least that's my current theory. Any comments?

4.11.1 is now in the tree.
