When editing slides in Open Office impress on gentoo linux (I only run gentoo on my amd64), the individual letters collide with each other whenever using a font size of 32 or larger (at least with ariel, some other font's have the same behavior though the sizes may be different). The windows version of Open Office impress and other linux distros (redhat 7.3, debian custom) don't seem to have this issue. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a slide in Open Office impress 2. Select the Ariel font (or other true type? font, such as Times) 3. Select a large font size (usually 32 or larger) Actual Results: Got letters that overlapped each other while typing, but when you go to to presentation mode it looks fine. Expected Results: The letters shouldn't overlap at all.
Times can't be sized larger than 26 point on my box... Will test further.
No error output when I run ooimpress from an xterm and try resizing fonts.
Is this still a problem for you in openoffice-bin-1.1.1?
