output of ‘emerge --info =sys-devel/gdb-7.6’

When playing around with setting gdb options after retrieving a long backtrace (in this case, ‘t a a bt f’ for blender in bug 474070), gdb itself crashes.

I typed the following commands a the GDB prompt:
t a a bt f
(pressed ENTER two or three times to get the next screenful of the backtrace)
set print f[TAB]

i don't suppose you have a program other than blender that could trigger this ?  or maybe a simple program that does recursion ?

could also try the new 7.7 release
