The message I get is: 

checking for octave... octave
checking for mkoctfile... configure: error: mkoctfile is not installed

!!! Please attach the following file when seeking support:
!!! /var/tmp/portage/dev-lang/swig-2.0.10/work/swig-2.0.10/config.log


However, mkoctfile is not part of octave. Since support for octave is broken in SWIG, I propose to hard-disable it in SWIG. Thanks!
