archives.gentoo.org seems to only list messages from mid-2012 and earlier.  Compare:

  http://archives.gentoo.org/gentoo-catalyst/

with

  http://news.gmane.org/gmane.linux.gentoo.catalyst

I think that Gmane does a good enough job that it's not worth running a browsable archive interface in-house, and archives.gentoo.org/<project>/ should redirect to http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.linux.gentoo.<project>.  Obviously, the mlmmj archives should be preserved in case Gmane suddenly disappears, but in the mean time, maintaining in-house archives seems like a waste of time.
