sys-devel/gettext-0.18.1.1-r3 on amd64 and in similar words on x86: QA: prepare epunt_cxx called unnecessarily (no C++ checks to punt). QA: other QA Notice: Missing soname symlink(s): usr/lib64/libgnuintl.so.8 -> preloadable_libintl.so The latter is a sort of a look-alike of bug 374545. Reproducible: Always
epunt_cxx is still needed
Also please note the second QA warning (missing soname symlink).
With this... # $Header: /var/cvsroot/gentoo-x86/eclass/eutils.eclass,v 1.415 2013/03/12 14:16:15 vapier Exp $ ...I still get "epunt_cxx called unnecessarily". (And the soname thing too.) # cat /usr/portage/metadata/timestamp.chk Wed, 13 Mar 2013 12:45:01 +0000
(In reply to comment #2) > Also please note the second QA warning (missing soname symlink). That's bug 374545
(In reply to comment #3) > # $Header: /var/cvsroot/gentoo-x86/eclass/eutils.eclass,v 1.415 2013/03/12 > 14:16:15 vapier Exp $ I have the same, and I don't get any warning with 0.18.2
0.18.1.1* gets the warning, but 0.18.2 doesn't, so this seems fixed already vapier: how about stabilizing 0.18.2 and closing this with that?
(In reply to comment #6) off the top of my head, 0.18.2 should be fine
we can use this bug then, CCing arch's for stabilization

By the way, I ran into a couple of stabilization requests today. IIRC, all of them were waiting for m68k stable. And for quite some time now. Is there even anyone of that team/mail?
