Description Samuel Greenfeld 2004-03-25 23:50:32 UTC
An ebuild to build rosegarden-4 (music sequencer) version 0.9.7 (4.0.9.7). This is not a straight bump, and required minor tweaks to the ebuild to reflect the new version number.

Also please note the new homepage URL.

Reproducible: Always

This isn't exactly fixed. I get the exact same build error as cyrix12@cox.net. Using Gentoo ~x86 on an AMD Athlon XP. I tried with CFLAGS="" and CXXFLAGS="" with no luck.

Sorry if I seem like I'm leaving everyone out in the cold; a moving firm will be
coming to pick up all my stuff within 24 hours, and I will not get my Gentoo box
back until at least a week or so later.

Personally, I do not see any errors building Rosegarden. The only thing I can
suspect is that one of the dependancies of rosegarden has changed, possibly in
version number.

While I ponder this a bit, if you are still getting problems:
1. "emerge info"
2. What versions of alsa (if not Linux 2.6), Jack, and the various ladspa-
packages are you using?
3. Since the error seems to be with Ladspa, does upgrading to the latest stable
editions in portage (media-libs/ladspa-cmt-1.15, media-libs/ladspa-sdk-1.12) fix
your problem? [Currently, cmt-1.14 and sdk-1.0 are required.]

Ok, here is the info that you have asked for. For the record, I remerged:

kernel (to be complete) - it's 2.6.5-mm6
alsa-lib, alsa-jack, alsa-patch-bay, alsa-utils
arts
then I performed:
ccache -C && emerge ladspa-sdk ladspa-cmt && emerge -u rosegarden

As you can see, I was pretty complete.. Here's the 'emerge info':

Portage 2.0.50-r6 (default-x86-2004.0, gcc-3.3.3, glibc-2.3.3_pre20040420-r0, 2.6.5-mm6)
